Basin, Wyoming - Lilac City - Welcomes You!
Our Mission:
|
Ghost towns happen when residents don't shop locally.
|

The chamber has created this website to assist in promoting the existing businesses. If you click on 'Members' link you will find a list of members and their contact info.
One of the Basin Area Chamber's goals is to promote the towns of Basin, Hyattville, Manderson, Burlington and Otto. None of these smaller communities has chambers. We felt we could meet a need by including them in our scope of work. You may see businesses and events located in these communities as well as in Basin.
When the phone rings - and it does - with questions about where to stay, where to eat, what business can do this, does anyone around sell this, or who are the realtors in the area, our knowledge is very helpful. Having our members' contact information is valuable as we can refer the caller immediately.
Some of our recent projects include: Clean up of the main streets including adding flower pots, hosting business classes to help new and existing business, replanting of Lilacs to live up to our name as the Lilac City, hosting events to bring people to town.
The towns of Burlington, Manderson and Basin are all working on the infrastructures in town. Upgraded electricity, water and sewer are helping to keep them business-ready. We also have a fiber optic infrastructure that rivals any city. For you that remember the Andy Griffith show....we are Mayberry, with high-speed internet.
Thank you for visiting our website. We would love to hear from you either via e-mail or phone.

As a member, we will list your business events on this website as well. The Chamber has the ability to promote town and county events on the Wyoming Travel and Tourism Website. This website receives millions of hits each year. One page of this site is dedicated to events throughout Wyoming. We can also include your event or mentions of a new service or product you offer in our "Chamber Happenings" newsletter, which is emailed to our members as well as published in the local paper. Chamber websites are one of the first sites people look when researching an area prior to visiting or relocating.
